Uh… Yeah. A Fitness Manual. I’ve No Clue How to Even Pretend to Rate This out of 5
This is a no-bullshit guide to advancing your strength and fitness, focusing on four lifts: Military Press, Barbell Bench Press, Deadlift and Squat. It does its job, providing a simple formula and mathematical tables for determining how you should structure your workouts.
The author’s method focuses on incremental progress over fast results, a welcome difference to the all-too-common ‘get results tomorrow’ fads of today’s fitness industry. If you are interested in powerlifting, give this book a whirl. It’s ~100pages long, so it’s not a big investment of time or energy. I know I will be taking Wendler’s advice in hand going forward.
