Spoiler-ific review

Short review for a short book.

This is a gallery of photographs taken between 1850 and 1970 in Denver Colorado. The author briefly describes the city’s historical landmarks alongside photos to show the architecture. She includes a few details, but not enough to really slow the reading down. I read the book in about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Constructive criticism:

I would have liked if the author showed photos of how these various buildings look like in the modern day, instead of relying of black-and-white photos exclusively. This is especially true for torn-down buildings, because I want to see what is where they used to be. I want context for these locations now as well as what they were like in the past.

Have a nice day!
