Analysis at bottom
I’ve decided to go to the gym only four days a week and not six, starting next week. I’m starting to feel burned out, and when I go to the gym I only complete the bare minimum. Hopefully by toning things down I’ll improve.
I read nothing this week. Didn’t really feel like it, and I had podcasts to listen to instead.
Here’s the stats for this week.
Monday
- Bench day
- New max 220lbs
Tuesday
- 10 mile bike ride
- Squat Day
- New max 249lbs
Wednesday
- Deadlift day
- No New Max. The gym was closed for repairs unexpectantly.
Thursday
- OHP day
- New max 143lbs
Friday
- Bench press volume day
Saturday
- Skipped going. I’m feeling burned out, and I had other things to do today.
Analysis
Here are my theoretical 1RMs from last week:
- Bench: 203lbs
- Squats: 231lbs
- Deads: 299lbs
- Overheads: 138lbs
Here are this week’s 1RM:
- Bench: 220lbs
- Squats: 249lbs
- Deads: 299lbs
- Overheads: 145lbs
I’m hoping that by lowering the number of days I go to the gym I’ll be able to focus more and given them my all. Right now I’m feeling in slightly rough shape. My body and muscles feel find; however my hands (as always) are in pain and need medication. Maybe by toning down the exercise some they’ll be able to recover.
Here are my theoretical all-time max 1RM from last year:
- Bench Press: 260 lbs (118kg)
- Squat: 316lbs (143kg)
- Deadlift: 366lbs (165 kg)
- Overhead Press: 171lbs (78kg)
I have a while to go before I get back my lost gains.
