Books and Fitness: Second Week of September




  • New schedule has me not exercising on Wednesdays. Was nice taking a day off.
  • Finished Storm of Steel


  • Took the day off, trying to figure out this whole vlogging thing.
  • Read some ‘Beyond the Wall‘ an nonfiction anthology about GRR Martin’s ASOIAF setting


  • Bench Day again.
  • Rode bike 2 miles, uphill both ways
  • Read more of ‘Beyond the wall’



Here are my theoretical 1RMs from last week:

  • Bench: 225lbs
  • Squats: 249lbs
  • Deads: 299lbs
  • Overheads: 145lbs

Here are this weeks theoretical 1RMs:

  • Bench: 230lbs
  • Squats: 249lbs
  • Deads: 299lbs
  • Overheads: 145lbs


I’m recalibrating my schedules and quitting nSuns. I want to do 3 days a week exercising to fit in with my schedules. I’ll probably do some variation of 5/3/1 in the weeks and months to come.


Here are my theoretical all-time max 1RM from last year:

  • Bench Press: 260 lbs (118kg)
  • Squat: 316lbs (143kg)
  • Deadlift: 366lbs (165 kg)
  • Overhead Press: 171lbs (78kg)

I have a while to go before I get back my lost gains.
