This story was pretty good. At times action packed and plot driven, this Epic Fantasy was a mostly quick read despite it’s enormous length.
I’m going to keep this review short because a) this book is fairly deep in a series and b) because it’s old. By this time you’ve heard about ‘THE WHEEL OF TIME’ and you have preformed opinions about it.
Matrium Caulthon was properly introduced in this book. I liked getting to know him, for he provided an element of joie de vivre the series has lacked thusfar. I also liked the fact that Rand wasn’t the prime focus character.
I didn’t really like the pacing. Nothing really happened for the first half of the book. There wasn’t as much in the way of worldbuilding developments in this book as compared to the prior two.
